Kenya opened her campaign at the 17th Africa senior athletics championships with gold and bronze finishes in the men’s 10000 meters. National champion Wilson Kiprop opened the medals bag by winning the 25 lap race in 27 minutes, 32.91 seconds ahead of Uganda’s Moses Ndiema Kipsiro. Geoffrey Mutai settled for bronze as Matthew Kisorio finished 4th.
