High school rock climbing championship (KOAA Colorado Springs – Pueblo)

Author: 115 students from across the state competed in the Colorado High School Climbing League’s State Finals on Saturday.
24 Schools were represented including students from Colorado Springs, Monument, and Denver. Others came from as far away as Grand Junction, Ouray, and Carbondale for the event.
Competitors had 3 hours to climb as many roped climbs and boulder problems as they could.

Female Varsity:
1. Elly Czajkowski, Rocky Mountain HS
2. Summer Igor, Fruita Monument HS
3. Karen Bobkowski, Cherry Creek HS
