there are lot of different schools. In my opinion you should not pivot with the front leg while punching with any shot - for example throwing left hook - you should press your weight on the back leg, and then you got more power - and you wont get out of balance

He forgot to mention this, but a punch will have a lot more power when one's arm is completely extended then if the arm is bent. So when you pivot, make sure to extend your arm all the way for maximum effect.
Apart from that, this video is great. Power comes from the hips and the core.

Trust me the part that you need is the technique. Some are born with it but it can be crafted. Power does come naturally but it can be built a long way. Do you box?

As I said, you can build it to a certain extent, but many boxers and boxing announcers say that it a lot of it is inborn.

You can, if you get hte technique right. Then it is just a matter of years of strength training and hitter heavier bags all the time. (Tyson used to get 50lbs heavier bags every six months, working his way up to 300-350lbs)

In regards to the size of the fist, I don't think it really matter from my experience. A smaller fist would simply mean that the power of that punch is now focused in a smaller area. The larger fist would have more surface impact but as far as power, it all depends on the technique. If someone is only going for surface impact, they are missing out on lots of power and penetration of that punch. I have good punching power but my hands are small. It's all about technique in the end.
